Nestled in Bremer County, the City of Tripoli is home to the Tripoli Panthers and is a perfect location for your business and family.
Tripoli was founded in 1880 by H.J. Wynhoff, and was originally named "Old Tripoli" in honor of the Battle of Tripoli. Though initially founded in 1856 roughly one half mile to the North intersection 33 of Frederika township, it was later moved to its present location when the train tracks were laid for the Chicago Great Western Railroad.
CITY REMINDERS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
Trick-or-treating this year will be Thursday October 31 from 5:30-7:30 pm.
Tripoli Nursing home will hold trick-or-treating prior from 4-5 pm, and TAC will serve hotdogs at City Hall beginning at 5pm.
As of January 1st, 2025 Tripoli Residents will be required to license all dogs and cats located within city limits.
This will be a mandatory annual renewal at no cost to the citizens.
Any pet found without a proper license will be cited.
The City of Tripoli now accepts online payments for Utility Bills, Police Fines and Rental Facilities
